There is  wonderful store here which is a decorating store.  It's set up like craft shops but without the crafts.  It's more moderate to high dollar decorating ideas and pieces.  Any advice if it's worth renting a room in a store like this, or am I wasting my dollars.  Any advice would be appreciated as usual.

I'm not sure. I'm not yet to the point where I could spend high dollars on something like that. However, I do think there are some high dollar neighborhoods in the OKC area, so it could probably work. What would you put in your room? Where would you get it? How much is the rent?

Your full intentions would be helpful. Also have you dont craft shows? If so how well did you do at them? Does your product, fit into this stores products?

Is this like a craft mall? I use to sell in a craft mall and it ended up not being worth it for me. Maybe it was the location but by the time I paid for rent of my booth and supplies I didn't have much left.

Okay, I have no opinions on this.
Am I reading into this correctly by concluding that you intend to open a retail space within a larger retailer?

My hunch is that you should evaluate the current clientele and determine whether they would be interested in what you intend to sell. Then, if it feels right, decide upon how much rent you're willing to pay for a fixed amount of space.

I help run one of these kinds of stores here in my area. It was very successful and so were most of our vendors. It really depends on what you would sell, booth rents, vendor work hours, their percentage of the take, etc. I hope you do well, if you decide to do it.

Just going to add mine to the pile above. These stores need to have a draw for people that helps you. I think you need to research this carefully before you sign anything and yes think about the seasons aspect of this venture.

My house is decorated in early yardsale and discount pieces. I don't know if it would benefit you in the long run.

It's a decorating store. So I would sell decorations such as quilts, pictures, knick knacks etc.

I am not sure... I wouldn't want to buy someof the high end stuff.
