People in Southern Texas and Mexico are bracing for the worst as Hurricane Dolly barrels toward the Gulf Coast. Forecasters expect the eye of the storm to come ashore around midday today in or around Brownsville, Texas, or Matamoros, Mexico. Although Dolly is currently considered a Category 1 hurricane, forecasters warn the storm could strengthen into Category 2 by the time it reaches land. A Category 2 storm packs maximum sustained winds of 96 mph to 110 mph. The storm could trigger flooding and possibly spawn tornadoes. If you lived in Dolly’s path, would you evacuate your home and head for safety?
The actor who plays Batman in The Dark Knight is free on bail today, after being arrested and accused of attacking his mother and sister. Christian Bale says he’s totally innocent. He was questioned by police in London yesterday for four hours. No charges were pressed. Details are still hazy but according to British media, Bale’s mother and sister said the movie star assaulted them Sunday night at a London hotel. Bale has no previous record. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their young daughter.
A WNBA game turns ugly in the final seconds after a collision set off a bench-clearing brawl. By the time the dust had settled, four people were ejected, including Detroit assistant coach Rick Mahorn, who is accused of shoving a female player to the ground. It happened during the Los Angeles Sparks / Detroit Shock game last night in Michigan. Fists were flying and punches landed. Today, some are calling the brawl a publicity stunt; a way to bring interest to the WNBA. What do you think?

I miss having a front page to check all the stories out that are featured.
The "bench-clearing brawl" didn't interest me at all. They are welcome to all the viewers who will watch just to see girls fight.
I wonder, did anybody notice that a notorious Serbian war criminal/mass murderer was apprehended day before yesterday, after being a "fugitive in plain sight" for a dozen years?
Hot Topics? Not so hot, I must say.
But thanks for sharing anyway.
And that word you intended, I believe, was "border"--not exactly a toughie. Spell-Check WILL let you down now and then if you lean on it too heavily.
But thanks for sharing.
Thanks.
I am wondering if Christian Bales sister and Mother did that to teach him a lesson rather than really assaulting them. I am quit sure they fought but why would they wait until the next day to go to the police station? I think they just wanted to ruin his name & the opening of the Batman movie. That is just my opionion. We will have to wait and see what happens now I guess.
Have a great day & Thanks for all you do here.
As for this article though, I have a hard time believing that Christian Bale actually did that. Sounds like a scheme for the mom and sister to make some money. As for the WNBA, I'm about to go to YouTube in 5 seconds to look up the video!!! But only YouTube clone crap of course.
Paul G, why so angry? It's not as if this is CNN. Take a deep breath and don't take yourself so seriously.
Not CNN. Boy, you can say THAT again. On CNN the content comes from "responsible professional journalists". Big difference.
"Don't take yourself so seriously" (?). Despite what you might think, Ellie, and to answer the rhetorical question posed by The Joker ("Why so serious?"), some things do need to be taken seriously. Sorry if that upsets your "Candyland" equilibrium.
(Breathing deeply now.......AHHHHH!)
He's just still in character. Mistook Mom for the Joker (bad make-up) and Sis for Two-Face.
