That is extremely sad that she killed herself. people just don't realize how harassing affects people.

Teenagers can be vicious! May be we could "flash freeze" everyone at 13 and hold until they are 21!!!

Surely that can't be the only reason she took her own life! There HAD to have been something else going on! That just seems so sad/ridiculous... and naive. Why would you take nude pictures of yourself & send them to someone else (especially someone you were not even dating or involved with) if you would possibly get so upset you would kill yourself due to the aftermath??

The ex-boyfriend should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, for purveying child pornography. Other teenagers have been, and under far less egregious circumstances. I would hope that the others who participated in harrassing her can also be prosecuted for something.

those kids should be ashamed of themselves

kids are stupid.. and I'm not talking about the one who hung herself, even though thats not very good either. The kids who harassed her are not putting themselves in her shoes.

I was reading on this hrs ago . . . a friend send it to me, it came with a video, it is so sad to hear the sadness in the mothers voice, to see her tears run down her face. . . it's upsetting, I mention this cause Cara D. asked if there was more that could have caused her to do such thing, there was. She had been to a friend's funeral who had commited suicide a few days or week earlier. . . she was a depressed and with all the harassment and the drama at the school, I think it was just to much for her to handle, I only pray that this family can find some kind of peace, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Unfortunate. It is really sad that she decided to end her life without exploring ways of extricating herself out of the predicament. If in life she had the intent to prudently save other youngsters from being caught in such awkward situations, she should have herself considered other options to save her prestige. May she made precious little use of her friends or relatives who could have advised her suitably.

It is even more unfortunate that instead of staying on to fight such unscrupulous elements, she decided to run away from life, whereas the youngsters of present day generation are better equipped to save themselves from ignominious situations. In a way, she could have straight away implicated the person concerned in a criminal defammation case to teach him a lesson.

Anyway, there are opportunities galore for saving oneself from such predicaments like even changing one's residence, state or nation, but to end life is merely admitting to the mistake of having been victimised due to one's own folly and not implicating another in the heinous act of criminally playing with people's identities.

It is sad. At the same time, perhaps there could be a more coordinated effort to tell teenagers that the teen years can be tough, and that people will get through the teenage years.

This is really sad. It is also criminal that someone could harass someone so much that they felt comitting suicide was the only answer to the harassment. It is also cruel that the people doing the harassing don't realize what their actions are doing. You just never know what someones breaking point is. I am sure the people that are harassing don't realize how their cruelty is affecting the other person...but something like this should be a wake up call to those that are doing the harassing.

Was this really necessary? She was brutally harrassed when he sent the pics to everyone after they broke up, and the pain was too much. Her family has nothing to do with this! They're grieving. May you never lose someone you love to something as horrible as suicide. If you do, I hope you remember your words here. Very judgmental...and uninformed.

That bastard is deserving of a locker-room beatdown by Logan's male friends! If they don't, they need to do some soul searching.

Ok, it's very sad, she shouldn't have taken her life. There's another factor in this though, she shouldn't have taken the picture in the first place. She should have realized that the picture could easily get out as fast as it was sent. Yes, the 16 year old boy was wrong for sending it, but she made the choice to send it and it became property of him.

I very much blame the schools when this happens. The schools need to be held accountable. The principal down to the teachers. When a parent goes to a school administrator and complains then this type of thing occurs and where a kid takes their own life, school officials need to be fired and/or prosecuted. I am sick of seeing kids abused in our government run school systems and the adults in charge do nothing.
