Michael Jackson, the legend of all music legends is dead at age 50. This afternoon Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital from cardiac arrest. He was taken to the UCLA Medical Center after he was found not breathing in his Holby Hills home. Someone from his home had called 9-1-1. Michael Jckson was to kick-off a 50 show tour in London on July 13th.
I am in total shock. I can't believe one of the greatest musicians of our generation has died at such a young age. Despite his personal life and problems, Michael Jackson has meant so much to so many people - artists and fans alike.

This is horrible. So frickin' horrible.
I know. I can see him as a kid singing. He was so cute. And then when my son was little, he loved Michael Jackson as well. I loved Farrah Faucet as well, but for Michael, I have a knot in my chest. I think he suffered so much in life.
Gone too soon- by Michael Jackson-

I am devastated by this news. He is my generations Elvis - so sad. I remember practicing the moonwalk as a kid while listening to his music. And getting the Thriller album was a highlight of my childhood. What a tragic loss for us all.
R.I.P.
I had read that the start of his 50 concert tour in London that was supposed to start in a couple of weeks was delayed due to health issues, and that the concert promoters were upset, as they had already sold 750,000 tickets. It's possible that he was suffering symptoms of cardiac problems before his collapse and death.
I think of Michael essentially as an unhappy person, he may have had his issues, but there is no dispute he was a great talent.
i am still in shock. when my mom called me & told me i couldn't believe it. it's so soooo sad. we loved him & his music in my house. RIP Michael !
I have been watching coverage for hours. I guess part of me is still hoping it is just a mistake.
I am still in shock..about this tragic loss....Michael, opened so many doors for Artist, and people...
I am still in shock - I can't believe he is gone! He will be missed - he was a great artist!
shocking great loss to the world of arts
he had a lot of problems, mental and physical.... I hope he is resting in peace. A very sad loss to the world of music, his fans and especially his family
sad loss.
I'm watching the BET Awards and am really glad to see all the people celebrating him in a positive light and putting aside the negativity.
Some people are shrugging off his death, saying he was a weirdo or that they just didn't like his music. How can you possibly be a fan of music and not enjoy one MJ song!! OK, if you're not a fan, you're not a fan. But realize that MJ was incredibly important to the music community and he has touched the hearts of people around the world. His music is inspiring to me. And it makes me want to dance! That's happiness to me.
I wasn't a fan. I am a musician. While I enjoy a lot of music, there is a lot I simply don't care for. I'm not saying he wasn't talented. I'm just not a fan of his genre and have never been that into watching men dance. Was an untimely end really a surprise in retrospect? It's disturbing but also predictable to see the feeding frenzy of market positioning over his demise. But people are people and the industry is, well, the "industry."
