I hate Bill O'Reilly. However, I was very surprised to somewhat agree with his views on Michael Jackson during his Talking Points segment. (Mind you, I said, "somewhat".) Whether you love or hate Michael Jackson, I highly recommend you watch this.
Bill O'Reilly talked ab
out how Rep. Peter King called Michael Jackson a "pedophile" and was accused of racism. Though I disagree with King calling him that name - it was inappropriate and a terrible accusation - I agree with O'Reilly that it doesn't mean he's racist. O'Reilly also complained how during Michael Jackson's memorial service Al Sharpton elevated the pop-star to the level of MLK Jr. This was a bit overboard; Sharpton made it sound as if Michael Jackson singlehandedly broke all racial barriers.
However, as expected, O'Reilly eventually frustrated me with his insensitive comments. He accused Michael Jackson of "spending hundreds of millions of dollars on himself while singing We Are The World." MJ was a very caring person and set a record for the number of charities he supported. He also made us more socially aware. To imply Michael Jackson was selfish and didn't care about others is absurd.
Bill O'Reilly spoke to Fox correspondent Marc Lamont Hill PH. D following his talking points. It really bothered me that O'Reilly failed to see that Michael Jackson had any sort of impact on breaking racial barriers. Though he wasn't MLK Jr., his acceptance into mainstream music did have an impact on our society.
At the end of the segment, O'Reilly made some extremely insensitive comments: "Why is he being held up by the African-American community...when he bleaches his skin?...Why did he have his kids with white men?" Bill O'Reilly is a complete idiot. Michael Jackson may have had struggles coming to terms with his race, but hat doesn't make him any less African-American. Why should the black community turn their backs on him because of the color of his skin or his children's skin? I feel that sometimes Bill O'Reilly is purposely trying to create problems and turn groups of people against one another.

"Michael made us love each other"????.....
Well, I don't think love is the right word. A couple of generations being exposed to him, on a regular basis helped to further a degree of a feeling of ease with each other, that may not have, otherwise, been there within us.
It caused us to be a little less awkward with each other. Kind of opened things up between regular everyday peoples of differring races.
It was done through the vehicle of his music, and his performance thereof, but it did go beyond the music, and the shows.
The comment regarding to Michael being selfish is one of the biggest bullcrap I have ever seen. He was the one that truly cared for this planet, and loved it. This oreilly is a freaking fool.
He works for Fox. In my opinion Fox is nothing but a bunch of hate and fear mongers. This doesn't surprise me at all.

Just in case you missed it, Michael Jackson was a PEDOPHILE!!!!....Yes he was a musical genius and his music impacted many, but he liked sleeping with young boys. I find that reprehensible. Why is there a double standard? The Catholic Church still suffers from their pedophilia scandals and MJ gets a pass? He is being idolized by the MSM and the public. In the end he was nothing more than a bankrupt (financially and morally), drug addicted, child molester. Case closed.
Child molester? When was he convicted of that? Or is you whose convicted him?
Would you have let your children spend the night unsupervised at Neverland with him?
Would you have let your children spend the night unsupervised at Neverland with him?
I wouldn't let my child spend the night unsupervised with anyone man who isn't family.....
How much has O'reilly given to charity when compared to MJ? Jackson gave more in his life time than some organization ever will. Even in death his estate was divided between his children and several charities.
Its so nice to see so many come to the rescue of Michael... I agree with Eamon... he may of been acquitted but he paid a hefty sum to that kids family... If I were innocent, I would of faught this tooth and nail.. Jackson was a strange but talented person... I think he was a musical genius but one point over a genius, arent you considered mentally ill?
I think because of his fame at such a young age, he never grew up and he saw himself as a big kid... this way he could justify (if he did do wrong to some of those kids) his feelings... afterall, he was only a man child....
As far as his charible contributions.... Arent most of these tax deductable.. As far as Oreilly .. He also, was a teacher... I think History... I happen to like the man...
My question is this... If California is so broke, why, does LA have to pay mega bucks for this funeral... Is Jackson a president ? Is he royality? And King of Pop doesnt qualify.... Do they put on all of these airs for other celebs who have passed away? If they didnt then lets hear tubby Al Sharpton yell discrimination... Did LA pay for any of Farrahs funeral... Most likely not.... so where is the outrage in all of this>>>>>
As everyone knows charitable contributions are not 100 percent deductible. As for Bill O’Reilly when he first appeared on the scene I like his fairness even if I did not agree with his political view points. But he has lost my respect when he started aligning himself with intolerant and small minded GOP puppets like Ann Coulter.
