Obama mom jeans take All-Star game by storm (video)

Who won the All-Star game? Who cares! All people want to talk about are the “mom jeans” Obama wore when he threw out the first pitch of the game.

I’m debating whether or not they’re mom jeans, but they’re definitely straight out of 1995. Perhaps Obama could take down the hem at the bottom? Those dungarees are just an inch away from becoming high-water jeans. Oh well. Only Obama could still look slick while wearing a White Sox jacket and jeans that one may question actually belong to Michelle.

My wife also noted he actually has creases ironed into them as if they were dress pants. A little tough to see in this video but was pretty clear live in glorious HD.

I didn't notice the jeans so much, but if the game is in St. Louis why not wear a Cardinals jersey. Here he is shaking hands with the great Stan Musial (Mr. Cardinal) and throwing out the first pitch in front of 50,000 or 60,000 Cardinal fans, and he doesn't have the good sense to leave his White Sox jacket in the car. It's no wonder that he got a lot of boos.

Liz, if you did that in Yankee Stadium, you'd be rockin' all right - probably hit in the face with rocks thrown by the angry fans. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" is my motto.

And yes, the jeans were awful. I hope he gave them back to the Salvation Army after the game.

I have never laughed so hard -- I have enjoyed every moment of hilarity about Barack's "mom jeans", and he probably would get the joke too.
Michelle will rib him about it, I bet! ;)
