Solange Knowles shaved head - HOT or HOT MESS?

I don't care for it...it's way too short for my taste. My husband would probably have a tizzy if I shaved all my hair off. He wasn't too happy when I got almost 18 inches cut off (and donated).

Not a style that I like.

i like Solange's hair. It's cute and i feel like a man that doesn't agree with a woman cutting her hair is a very shallow man. We're women and thats what woman do change their hair, its versatility.

Everybody in this country has the right to do what they want with there hair. However, I personally don't like short hair on women. Also, I don't buy the maintenance as a reason to cut ones hair. I'm a 37yo male and have had long hair since I was 13 and I have never had an issue with my hair requiring too much time to mantain. A woman's hair is her crown, I like it long on women, they look more atractive to me.

I'm curious to know your hair type. Long hair in general and black hair are two very different things to maintain.

Well, not to anyone on here persay, but I was listening to my local radio station and basically BLASTED Solange for her new haricut, they called her ugly and everything. Now I have a problem with that, for one when a woman wears fake hair and straight hair, especially ethnic women ( not gettin on the ones that do ladies dont blast me, I dont do it anymore but in my day I was the feircest thing with a blond wrap) no one has nothing to say about it, because we have allowed society to dictate what beauty is, now for me anything that can be brought or sewn and or glued in is not necesarily the real definition of beauty how can something fake represent anything real. As long as she was wearing that straight and glammed up hair she was okay now that she has just decided to show what the Creator has given her and go natural, it is a big issue. If she would have came out smokin a peace pipe and singing about the revolution and wearing dashikis (I know I aint spell that right lol) then her natural hair would have been cool and someone would have had something to say if she then started to glam up and wear tracks. I say that to say, to each his or her own we all are beautiful fried dyed or laid to the side. SHe is a beautiful nubian sister and that is that. Aint nothing constant but change, let her do her, no one else has to deal with her decisions but her. With change we grow, she is growing and until she dead she gone continue to change b the second by the minute b the hour.

To add on to your point, anything sewn or glued ruins the real hair we already have.

She's pretty enough to pull it off.

The shaved head on the side things looks like they got in a fight and lost.
