Miley Cyrus Pole Dancing Controversy (VIDEO) -...

The latest celeb hub-bub is whether Miley Cyrus' pole dancing performance at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night was a big NO-NO. You can see the video below (apologies that it's not better quality). Do you think it's a big deal? She's a 16 yr old Disney Pop Princess trying to edge her way above the rest just like Britney did at 16. Remember her "Baby One More Time" video? Spears played up the little school girl act in a big way then later went on to performances like "I'm Slave 4 U" - is Miley one scandalous dance away from that level?

Personally I think there's a lot more scandalous moves you could do with a pole (not that I'd know). It's not like the girl was swinging from it! But I can see where people would be concerned since it was the TEEN Choice Awards and there were impressionable young folks watching. So what do you think?

Yes...tat was a little bit of pole dancing right there...how could any mother let her child look uo to that girl and expect her daughter to make smart choices in the future about her dignity and herself?

I reject both her apparel and the use of the pole in her act. To me it says those who accept it are giving permission to their kids to act in similar ways.

The way she is dressed, and the whole scenario is inappropriate for the under age crowd. I have no doubt that this was included, even the milder pole moves, to increase her "teen" following. Once again throwing sex into the marketing mix to teens.

the whole performance was intended to be towards teens. hence the TEEN Choice Awards. if parents of younger children let them watch the show then that's their choice. they should know what type of stuff there is going to be. the wardrobe is typical for teens to wear. she is 17 now and even if she has people looking up to her, they should be looking up to her for who she is. not who people want her to be.

I absolutely can not say that I approve of the pole and clothing for teen choice awards, but I can not say much else bad about the girl since she really takes time for her audience.

If I was getting wheeled around on a box, I'd need more than a pole to hang on to!! For Pete's sake she wasn't dancing like a stripper, she was holding on to the pole. I'd be more worried about the clothing, or lack of it.

I agree! I'm so sick of people attacking every little thing she does. I can guarantee that ANYONE who has raised a teen, has a teen who has done FAR worse at some point or another than Miley has done.

i am so sick of this! seriousely media and all you other people grow up if she wasnt famous use wouldnt be saying this isnt that why she has 2 lifes just stay out of her personal one seriousely gosh! use say she has put of weight so what shes still youny use have no right to judge her on her weight or what she looks like. let her have her own life she cant even go to the beach with out use taking photos of her i feel so sorry for her. bye!
