I normally don't post items like this, but what this guy did was beyond belief. Mark Whicker of the Orange County Register posted a column about all the Sports events the victim of Phillip Garrido had missed during her 18 year ordeal. The story was posted on FOXSports.com

Just when I get to an age in time and have so much to celebrate in this world here comes the desegregation of "Civility" and the rise of human complacency.
Brilliant. Obviously, you don't have to be too intelligent to be a sportwriter. Or have any common sense or tact.
It amazes me that things like this get to print when there are actually editors who are watching over what is included - I fault them, as well. The modus operandi for media nowadays is shameful exploitation, whether it is a private or public person. Attention, positive or negative, is rewarded. I'm sure his bosses are patting him on the back for drawing so much attention to him and his column.
We have lost something very special here in the US - common sense and propriety. Anything goes, as long as it makes a buck or has the potential to make a buck. We have sold our minds and souls to the almighty dollar. Pathetic.
