The story of Falcon Heene, who was thought to be flying through the air in a makeshift helium balloon, captivated the nation yesterday. And now we learn that it may have all been a hoax. During an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Falcon was asked why he didn’t come out when his family was calling for him and he replied “We did this for the show.” When Wolf asked Richard Heene why his son would respond that way he became quite agitated:
In the end, everyone is just happy that this boy is safe, but naturally people are concerned that if this was a hoax the resources that were used to rescue the boy were quite costly not to mention time consuming, distracting officials away from other potential emergencies.
What do you think? Do you think that this was a hoax?
