The Guinness Book of World Record’s has recognized a new winner in the “oldest dog” category. Otto is a dachshund-terrier mix and is currently 20 years and 8 months old. The previous record holder, Chanel, recently passed away at the age of 21. Chanel was also a dachshund mix, so apparently that breed is known for longevity.
Otto is doing well but suffers from a bit of arthritis, not bad when you consider that in dog years he’d be 145 years old. Long live
Otto!
