Former Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson was arrested and detained at the Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday after assaulting a papparazzo, according to police.
Tyson, 43, claimed the photographer struck him in provocation of an attack, while the photographer claimed Tyson hit him and tried stealing film from his camera, according to the Los Angeles Times. Both incidents likely took place.
"There's a lot of different versions to the story," Los Angeles Airport Police Sergeant Jim Holcomb said. "That's all going to come out later. But in this particular case, both individuals are going to be pressing charges for battery."
The general public will probably take the side of the photographer, as Tyson's checkered past and violent reputation preceeds him. But from the reports, it seems both men over-stepped their bounds. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in court.
