Tareq and Michaele Salahi, aspiring reality TV stars - perhaps from The Real Housewives of Washington - are the first to successfully crash a White House state dinner. Michaele Salahi was and Tareq Salahi were not on the guest list but somehow managed to move past the tight security. The Secret Service did say that the couple was screened for weapons and that the President was never in any danger.
The couple was not seated at a table under the tent but were able to mingle with the likes of Joe Biden, Katie Couric, and Rahm Emanuel (and, on facebook, the misspelled his name 'ron'). The Secret Service is now looking into the situation - it is unknown whether the couple will receive any disciplinary action.
