Audio form the Tiger Woods 911 call is now available online. You can listen to the audio posted by TMZ here.
A neighbor, sounding extremely concerned, called 911 to report that Tiger Woods had crashed into a tree on his property. (You do not hear the neighbor call Tiger Woods by his name on the phone call though.) He tells the dispatcher that he needs an ambulance immediately because the golfer had hit a pole on his property. He also tells them that Tiger is unconscious and laying on the ground. At the time the neighbor was not sure if he was breathing. The neighbor, who is calling from a cell phone, has a bad connection and eventually drops off the call before an ambulance arrives.
Today Tiger Woods canceled another meeting with police regarding the accident and has released the following statement on his website in response to rumors that his wife caused the accident:
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
