Pepsi sponsored a concert in Uganda that featured Jamaica dancehall star Beenie Man telling the crowd that he'd like to cut the throats of all gay men. Beenie Man statement is very dangerous considering Uganda is a country where homosexuality is currently punishable with lifetime imprisonment. I'm sure Pepsi had no idea he would say something so cruel.
Uganda this year has experienced a rash of vigilantism in which accused (LGBT) lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people were publicly identified in a major newspaper, on the radio, and on national television. A new proposal before the Ugandan Parliament assigns a death sentence for certain homosexual "crimes" and outlaws all advocacy or defense of LGBT people with a punishment of seven years imprisonment.
This is very sad and disturbing I pray for the people over there ,that oneday they will be treated fair.
