The image and music of Michael Jackson is now part of a major Scientology event in Britain, according to Roger Friedman of The Hollywood Reporter.
Love him or hate him, Friedman has made a name for himself as a Hollywood Insider and something of an expert on Jackson. In this instance, Friedman credits Guy Adams of the U.K. Newspaper "The Independent" with supplying him with the Jackson information, including a copy of the invitation to the Scientology event that is reproduced with Friedman's column.
As Jackson followers know, he was famously married for 18 months to Lisa Marie Presley, only heir of Elvis Presley.
Although Presley claims that she loved Jackson and they had a real marriage, there have been many rumors that Scientology arranged the Jackson/Presley marriage as a way to gain some of Jackson's money. There are also reports - most notably in the book "The Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tragic Icon Reveals His Soul in Intimate Conversation" by Jackson intimate Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, that Jackson and Presley had vicious verbal battles that led to their divorce. Many claim that some of those arguments revolved around Jackson's refusal to convert to Scientology.
Whatever the truth of the Jackson/Presley conversations about Scientology, it is known that Jackson did not convert to Scientology although he clearly would have been welcomed.
Do you believe that Scientology is exploiting Jackson in death by using his image and music to support its event?

Unfortunately.
Scientology would like to have gotten their hands on all of Jackson's money -- every penny -- if they could, once they got the brainwashing going. That is what Scientology is designed to do, extract money from people, while giving them hope they'll go "clear" or get super powers.
