Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh's Haiti quotes are cruel and shocking and continue to resonate. See the video below and vote in the poll at the bottom of the page.
On Wednesday, during his 700 Club broadcast, just one day after the Earthquake, Pat Robertson, who has a history of putting his foot in his mouth, said:
"They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you'll get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal."
Here's the insensitive video which, intentional or not, seems to indicate that the Haitians brought this on themselves and that only by turning to G_d can they save themselves. It's a bit surreal with the relief number being plastered on the screen.
Rush Limbaugh's comments are just cruel and self-serving. He'll use anything he can to take a swipe at Barak Obama, even a tragedy that has killed tens of thousands of people. What an idoiot! Way to ease the suffering of an entire country. Here are some of his direct quotes:
"The Haiti earthquake was made to order for Obama."
"Obama will use Haiti to boost credibility with the light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country."
