The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for south-central Los Angeles County and Orange County, including the cities of Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Anaheim, Irvine, Santa Ana and Seal Beach.
The tornado warning was prompted by a storm moving through Central and Southern California which has brought high winds, waves and lightning. Many piers have been closed as a result, including those in Ventura, Hermosa Beach, Seal Beach and Manhattan Beach because of 15-foot waves
