just stick a bucket outside and "catch" the snow!!

Well, we were thinking about doing that to flush toilets...

And we'd just have to scoop it up! LOL! There's plenty out there ...

so I've heard!

Iwas gunna say something about the toilet, lol. If nothing else, use the bucket! lol. It's awful, and I don't mean to laugh... =( =D =(

Well, if we have to, we'll just bring in snow to melt. We certainly have enough of it!

Barb, I have one son who in his younger days was an olympic athelete and during the off seasons he would travel with several other olympic atheletes to the vaious track meets in the European countries. Track in Europe is as big (or bigger) draw than football is here and they would win prize money to exist on ... they all did pretty good. I'm leading up to telling about the water ... LOL ... sometimes they would run out of clean clothes and he told me one time that they would turn their dirty socks inside out and wear the cleaner side on the outside until even that couldn't be done. He said one time in Russia they hired one of the hotel maids to do their laundry for them, he said she was very happy to have a chance to earn some extra money. He showed me a pair of his socks when he came home a few weeks later and the white socks were sort of tan looking. He said those were a clean pair. LOL It is the water over there. He said it even comes out of the hotel faucets looking dirty. Ewwwwww. I'd opt for melted snow over dirty water any day. Living a primative life is tough when we are used to clean water from the faucet. I don't know what my story has to do with you water shortage but for some reason your plight reminded me of it. LOL We never appreeciate what we take for granted until it's gone.

Thanks for reading my stupid post about Lady Gaga's dress. It is a trash post done as an experiment. See my story about the Gather email telling how to earn extra points on Gather by writing about trendy topics .... I decided to give it a try .... so far the post about the Gather email has generated more comments than the "trash" post about trendy topics. So much for that. Gather has hired quite a few "Social Writers" to write for them in order to generate views thus drawing more people to Gather thus making the sponsors happier. These writers have access to blogs for posting the article lead-ins that I do not have and therefore the thousands of views that some of these articles generate. My experiment was to see if I could generate (according to the Gather email) more views, but so far I have been ignored (almost). LOL

If you'd post that Gaga thing to the Gather Celebrity Essentials, with the appropriate tags, you'd get lots of views. You don't get much in the way of comments to things like that, though. I had one article get over 3,000 views doing that.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Here in SoCal we're always faced with "the Big One," meaning a major earthquake and most households have bottles/containers of water. It's difficult for me to think of someone who is surrounded by water (frozen, yes, but still water) and not being able to drink or wash up.

I sincerely hope you make it through this all right.

I'll be fine. I'm not very worried, it's just weird. We don't usually have these issues. I certainly have PLENTY of frozen water sitting around outside. I think they're only expecting to do this today by the sound of it.
