St. Valentine’s Day History : Who is He?

St. Valentine’s Day history is a long one of romance and love during the month of February. On Valentine’s Day it’s traditional to give your sweet heart candy, flowers, cards and show them love. St. Valentine has many stories surrounding his name. Some have thought he may have been a priest who would marry couples in secret when marriage was outlawed for young men in Rome. Another story of St. Valentine has him as a hero saving Christians from Roman prisons. Many stories surround St. Valentine and no one really knows for sure who he is, but Valentine’s Day will continue to be celebrated throughout the ages.
