Senator McConnell:
"While the American people have already rejected the health spending bills pending in Congress, today it appears the President has heard their calls to scrap the 2,700-page, partisan bill and start over," McConnell said in a statement.
Who do you expect to believe this line of tripe and why do you continue to embarrass and insult us this way? No rational person thinks President Obama’s willingness to coddle your pathetic party has anything to do with him “hearing calls to scrap the bill” or that the bill is partisan. Sane, honest people know that what he “heard” were your dishonest martyrdom about him not considering your non-plan, and your dishonest attack and distract about his promising to televise meetings on c-span, and your feigned ignorance of the fact that it would have taken an additional c-span channel to cover all of the meetings. And reasonable people know that President Obama’s biggest mistake was in diluting the bill to please your party, whose ONLY health care contribution in eight years was an absurd sell-out-to-pharmacy Part D addition to Medicare, so you could pretend you did something that you didn’t and whine later about the cost of “socialized” medicine.
The kids are still waiting to read that 2,700 bill that you obviously have pushed aside, along with letters from “the” American people. They are capable. Yesterday, they took turns reading aloud to me from the book I’m writing about how “some” (note the honesty in that word, as opposed to your misleading use of the word “the”) people got stupid enough to vote for someone like you. They breezed right through, comprehending what they read, even, so I told them that I have volunteered them to help you with bills and letters. Let us know when you’re ready.
Meanwhile, I am an American “people”. Stop misrepresenting me now that I (and many others) have let you know that we do not support your delusions. If you must say stupid things like the quote that started this, make it perfectly clear that you speak for a few confused people when you spew this nonsense, not THE American people. Words and honesty matter.
Seriously weary,
Sandy

Are those prescription drugs you're on? The last time I heard someone spouting the kind of outrageous, delusional crap you do was when a crackhead was wandering down the street last summer.
Mitch doesn't speak for me and I am an American.

The Public Option LIVES!!!!
For months now, D.C. insiders and T.V. blowhards have said the public option is dead, but Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado just proved them wrong.
Leading the way as a Healthcare Hero, Senator Bennet is circulating a letter calling on Majority Leader Harry Reid to use reconciliation to pass healthcare reform with the choice of a public option and Senators Sherrod Brown (OH), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), and Jeff Merkley (OR) have already stood up to join him.
Together these four Senators are showing Democrats in Washington the way forward on healthcare reform. Call Senator Brown right now and thank him for standing up for Ohio, the public option, and you.
Senator Sherrod Brown

Thanks to your hard work, 120 House Democrats signed and delivered the Polis/Pingree letter to Harry Reid a little over a week ago.
These four Senators saw that leadership and your hard work -- and they aren't sitting around and hoping for change -- they're taking the lead and making it happen.
Think of it this way: if this were a football game, House Democrats threw the Senate a Hail Mary pass and these four Senators just caught it. But now, they have to score the touchdown. That means we need to cheer them on by thanking them for standing up to the insurance industry and we also need to call on other Senators to join them.
So today, members of Democracy for America, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, CREDO Action, and MoveOn in every other state are calling their Senators and demanding they sign Senator Bennet's public option letter too -- and join these Healthcare Heroes in fighting for real reform.

Thank you for everything you do.

I hope there're enough Dems with courage to pass something.
Oh! Call on me! Call me!
And if the ball isn't on the field at the time, I can still score from my goalie box...all the way down the field!
EM JAY: Re "Leading the way as a Healthcare Hero, Senator Bennet is circulating a letter calling on Majority Leader Harry Reid to use reconciliation to pass healthcare reform with the choice of a public option and Senators Sherrod Brown (OH), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), and Jeff Merkley (OR) have already stood up to join him.'
Last I heard, eleven Senators have joined him in asking Reid for reconciliation, including my own Sen., Al Franken.
And that I will vote for them In November if they vote for Health care.
I understand that right now as we speak they are "polling" to find the backing.
I do know the polls that have been reported by the Multi-National Corporate Propaganda News Machines are confusing and designed to turn everyone against President Obama and the Democrats, they are not "reflecting" what people are thinking/wanting.
This is getting downright creepy, the news orgs I mean. Some days the so called news looks as if it all originated at Fux News (Thank you Dame Ruth0
Keep up the good work!
I listed my beloved late life partner's name on the website: www.namesofthedead.com He couldn't get insurance, while I had it, which prevented us from getting married (how screwed up is that?). You might remember my mentioning that in my articles about medical insurance a few months ago.
One of the brilliant scholars over there said, "Lack of medical insurance is not the cause of death. Everyone dies, whether they have insurance or not!"
I'm glad you mentioned that you have coverage, also. Why do some groups want to insinuate that anyone who fights for health care, or same sex marriage, or anything they think is 'wrong' must want that for themselves? Is it because they are so selfish they can't even fathom the possibility that a person can care about others?
And they have their own media outlets...I wish they'd all just stick a screwdriver in them outlets!
ZAP!
But the ringleaders of such discussions ARE selfish and they don't want to see "their money" going to uninsured people. Most of the noncovered Americans ARE working! (The poor ones already are eligible for Medicaid.) How selfish and cruel to want to deny working Americans insurance, and how stupid and shortsighted too!

Shocker, eh?
Now Carly Fiorina is running for Boxer's seat. I can only hope. . . that LA county (10 Mil) saves us from the HP Witch.
(unreality rears it's ugly head, once again... disbelief is baying in the background...but it COULD happen with this "justice" group.)

Wilka, they get all the votes the want by threatening their employees. Some even send their employees out to campaign for the candidates they are financing.
I laugh at their "lets start over with a clean page" demand but, in a way, wish we'd call them on it. The first thing that should go on that blank page, in huge, bold, unerasable letters, is SINGLE PAYER.
