The award for jerk of the month goes to Keele Maynor, of Chattanooga, TN. She lied about having breast cancer for monetary gains, receiving donations from cancer support groups and sick leave that was donated by her co-workers.
The deception went on for five years before it was discovered and by that time, the donations she received totalled $27,000. Maynor has pleaded guilty to theft and forgery and could receive a sentence of probation or up to six years in prison. She will be sentenced May 17.
What kind of person lies about having cancer? Anyone who has cancer or who has lost someone to cancer would think of them as the lowest of the low.
