Juneau Alaska is located a thousand miles north of Seatlle. If Google selects the Alaska Capitol City to invest with 'ultra-fast' internet speed it would at least be heavily exploited by summer's legions of foreign tourists besides the locals.
There are several new wireless internet connections in development. Juneau should be entirely wireless for free internet access. Google’s investment may be helpful, yet the much faster future wireless networks may have shorter range.

The United States is better suited for Internet access without displacing several economic sectors presently existing, than are some nations such as Italy that resist Internet expansion for some reason that are valid and historical–considering how much fighting has gone into keeping such comparatively limited areas–they don’t want to just give it up when there may be no other places to go.

An internet speed increase with different technology-more than a gigabyte per second, will help rather than harm Juneau’s local businesses. Not until quantum computing can just produce manufactured articles locally in some distant future, will wireless internet be a problem for traditional business suppliers. The problem then will be in controlling the access to natural resources of mass and energy for conversion and downloading into instant items–
