Steven Stanton was the city manager in Largo, Florida when he announce his intentions to become a woman. Steven was transgendered. He felt as though he was a man trapped in a woman's body. That's why he underwent a sex change operation and is now known as Susan Stanton. Susan was on Larry King Live tonight and his/her transformation is intimately chronicled in the CNN documentary, "Her Name was Steven," which airs this Saturday at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET.
Don't miss this one. It will be interesing to see what the process is for the transformation, both mentally and physically. Susan must have had a tough time becoming the "face" of transgender rights, but seems to have decided it was worth it all.
What do you think about this? Do you think a man can be "born in a woman's body" and vice versa?
