Well I don't agree with Beck on this. President Obama is the executive of the country and has a lot of freedom as do as all the Presidents before him do and that is to run the country.

Yes there are many cabinet offices that he needs to fill, but all that Beck showed above were a bunch of ad hoc groups to try and get some proposed bills though congress. All the presidents do that. Therefore I see no different here at all in what President Obama is doing in that arena.

I don’t like many or most of the results of those proposed bills, but I don’t deny the president in the push for those legislative issues at all.

He is ignoring the representatives AND Americans. He's supposed to be President, NOT a Dictator!

That is NOT the president's job. That is Congress' job. The President, if you read the constitution, has a very limited role. He's more of a figurehead than anything else.

Beck has no credability to me, and I don't bother with him anymore. Texas had the chance to elect Medina. She was neck and neck with with Hutchinson until Beck sandbagged her for the GOP typicals, and she slid in the polls.

The rightwing keeps saying, "Throw them all out"!, but that's a lie. They are trying to pull a fast one. I'll be voting for the Democrat come the mid terms.

It's time to look at the candidate - NOT the party. Until we all do that, there will be no change.
I didn't like what he did to Medina either. She made the mistake of not staying nutral on the question for obvious reasons. It did not lead to her defeat - the political power machine did that - with the money.

What I meant by the obvious reason. To respond to that question in any way other than a neutral answer is and will be political suicide for ANY candidate.
VERY strong feelings both ways which was evident by the slide in her support. Beck didn't sandbag her - her own answer did and her lack of political experience did. She should have done her homework on Beck too.
Now, I supported her too and am not happy, however, you cannot blame Beck.

Linda, I blame Beck, and the Rovian tactic the Gop has taken for a good while which is the reason I will not vote for any Republican that parrots talking points.

Beck likes to play himself off as not belonging to any particular party but I don't see him showing up to speak at any Libertarian rally's. I see a convoluted conservatie movement that ends up being nothing but Republicans moving that particular movment where and to whomever the GOP wants.

There are plaenty of conservative Democrats, but I don't see any Republicans or Beck showing up to speak at any of their rallies, either.

They've even taken to sending more so called conservatives to run against Ron Paul, for his seat in Congress, for crying out loud!

Berf, The typicals can be Republican or Democrat (typical politicians) of the 2 dominant party's. For example, Ron Paul is not your typical GOP. Kucinich is not your typical Liberal Democrat.

BTW, Kucinich rode on Air Force One with Obama to the political "lying" rally in OH. Wonder if he will now switch his vote. If he does, he'd dead meat!

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency. The President is Constitutionally granted the power to appoint who ever He chooses with Senate approval.


Debt Commission

Every President is afforded authority under the Constitution to enact Executive Orders in the course of carrying out there official duties. Executive Orders, by law cannot trump Congressional authority at any time. This Debt Commission functions both as advisory and investigative roles to make budgetary determinations. Perfectly legal.


Health Care

Absolutely NOTHING thus far has been determined as either illegal or unconstitutional by ANY determining body of authority.

The Congress, in its sole discretion provided by the Constitution, is mandated the authority to pass such laws as it deems necessary.

The states powers are the next line of defense. They can refuse to allow an federal law to be enforced. There have been numerous small moves by the states already, which is encouraging.

I hear that is something like 36-37 states ready to file in court. Boy, this could be drawn out forever! Why don't they just START OVER!

At least 37 have, from what I have heard. If a small critical mass of states block it by refusing to allow enforcement of the bill within it's borders, we can effectively stop it.

From what I saw, the Virginia law should go to the US Supreme court to start to define what rights states have and what the feds have.

although I do support the health care legislation; and I am glad that it has passed. Yet with what the different states are doing, along with the possibility of Missouri voting on a state constitutional amendment this fall that would bar the health bill from taking effect here in Missouri.
The vote would be in November's fall general election.
That would trigger the "US Supreme court showdown, where "state's right's are defined better than "The big government says that you have to do this."
Not since the "civil war" has there been the issue of state's right's raised like this.
