Another earthquake hit today in Papua, New Guinea. The earthquake measured 6.5 pm The earthquake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale as reported by the USGS.
There were no reports of injuries but that is because Papua, New Guinea is a very underdeveloped land and has few large building to fall and hurt the people of New Guinea.
So that is good news. What is troubling is the depth and strength of this earthquake. The quake itself measured 6.3 on the Richter scale, but was 41.1 miles deep which is significant.
Papua, New Guinea is a primitive land where people don’t have large structures to be affected greatly by an earthquake, but as earthquakes and volcanoes continue to erupt across the world, it is a growing concern.
The latest large scale quake was in China were cleanup is difficult because of Cultural and religious difference as well as the Tibetan mountains make breathing difficult for rescuers.
