Okay, they've  gotten up my ire. I am sick and tired of the left screaming "lies" when the Republican make a negative statement about this administration. So I have given three examples below of some major Democrat lies.
Â
Â
Lie # 1 The Dems denial of the Blago story about talking to the Obama's team in a "quid pro quo" deal.
Â
Blago claims that the tapes he wants played contain his conversation with Obama about Valerie Jarrett getting the Senate position.
Â
"several witnesses were quoted as saying that a labor union official spoke of having a conversation with Obama on Nov. 3, 2008, in which Obama expressed hope that Blagojevich would choose an unnamed Senate Candidate B - frequently identified as the president's longtime friend, Valerie Jarrett, now a White House adviser."
Â
Â
Lie #2Â "Republicans are against this current finance bill because they are in bed with the banks"
Â
Specificallly Goldman Sachs, in 2009 it was 3 to 1! Â (the 3 being Dems and the 1 being Republicans.)
Â
So... who is really in the pockets of the banks? Pay close attention to 2008, the year Obama got elected!
Cycle Total     Democrat      Republican   % Dem % Rep
2010Â Â Â Â $693,675Â Â $476,375Â Â Â $217,300Â Â Â Â Â 69%Â 31%

2008 $5,934,089 $4,463,788 $1,459,961Â Â Â Â 75%Â Â Â 25%
2006 $3,495,866 $2,185,461 $1,276,455Â Â Â Â 63%Â Â Â 37%
2004 $6,411,038 $3,956,253 $2,436,285Â Â Â Â 62%Â Â Â 38%
2002 $3,487,835 $2,292,040 $1,194,795Â Â Â Â 66%Â Â Â 34%
2000 $4,431,977 $2,763,185 $1,662,292Â Â Â Â 62%Â Â Â 38%
Also, don't forget the three hencemen under Obama who have histories with Goldman Sachs.
So, can someone tell me how can the Democrats not be in bed with the banks?

Lie # 3 The Dems are also  lying about GM "paying back" the bail out loan money.
All G M has done is "put in escrow" other money GM had been given by the "bail out' wizard democrats... So in essence, they paid back loan #1 with loan #2 so they still owe loan #2.  Ho hum.... My question, is GM making vehicles that can compete with what Americans want.... and how many times do we have to keep sending GM mney? Â

I have posted this so that all of you will have a fair and balanced presentation of some of the real facts that disprove the Democrats smear campaign!

I did a quick post on Lie #1 yesterday and have been watching the news about this as it comes out all day. This may be Obama's 'watergate' and just the fact that Blago wants him subpeoned to testify casts doubt on BO's integrity. Also, since the information he would be testifying on all occured before he became President, he can't invoke Executive Privledge to avoid giving testimony.
A little more every day leaks out about this. I think I'm going to sign out of here and go watch Fox to see what else is being said.
BTW, I've only found reports about this whole thing on Fox, CNN and the Wall Street Journal. Don't the other media reporters have anything to say about this? Interesting.
The US District Court Judge in the case is a Federal Judge and can force him to testify.
Is the District in Chicago?
The fact that Fannie Mae nor Freddie Mac will have any new oversight really bugs me and is reason enough for it not to be signed. And yet, the left's excuse is that the Republicans lie. Sheeesh!
Although the left says that we are just a "racist, radical, say No party" just because we don't want to go the route above..... I jsut happen think it's Right to be Right!
Better yet it's the party that knows when to say no.
There's an old saying taught to little children having to deal with playground name calling. "You can call me a purple cow, but that doesn't make me one!"
Hmmm, my gut feeling Jeff is a no. My husband has decided our next vehicle will be anything but a GM. He is so angry at the deal they gave the union at the expense of the investors which included a bunch of everyday people in pension funds of their own.
In 2005, the Senate Banking Committee, then under Republican control, adopted a strong reform bill, introduced by Republican Sens. Elizabeth Dole, John Sununu and Chuck Hagel, and supported by then chairman Richard Shelby. The bill prohibited the GSEs from holding portfolios, and gave their regulator prudential authority (such as setting capital requirements) roughly equivalent to a bank regulator. In light of the current financial crisis, this bill was probably the most important piece of financial regulation before Congress in 2005 and 2006. All the Republicans on the Committee supported the bill, and all the Democrats voted against it. Mr. McCain endorsed the legislation in a speech on the Senate floor. Mr. Obama, like all other Democrats, remained silent. If the Democrats had let the 2005 legislation come to a vote, the huge growth in the subprime and Alt-A loan portfolios of Fannie and Freddie could not have occurred, and the scale of the financial meltdown would have been substantially less. The same politicians who today decry the lack of intervention to stop excess risk taking in 2005-2006 were the ones who blocked the only legislative effort that could have stopped it. And Barry voted no!

Now, you won't have to delete my comment Nora.
Don't expect your GM pay back too soon.
Thanks for the chuckle Cena!
The second "lie" is the truth. The Republicans are in bed with the banks. The Democrats are, too. (You must have expected this response since I have been saying that big money controls Congress and the Administration for a couple of years now on Gather.)
The third lie is being spread by GM. I have heard and seen nothing on the news from the Democrats about that. I have seen a couple of big (expensive) ads by GM to that effect.
So are you comparing these lies with the popular, well known Republican lies? Which Republican lies will you use for that comparison? Big ones like WMD in Iraq or the need to invade Afghanistan or little ones like the "Death Panels" in the Health Care bill?
Am disappointed in your obvious bias.
How is the fact I have seen nothing on the news from the Democrats an obvious bias? Please explain as I am too biased to understand.
Or were you referring to my whole response as biased?
(PS: I an known for my wit around the office so I appreciate your flattering reference to my phrase. :-) )
Larry, have you been following the news on how costs for ObamaCare were seriously understated? Interesting how such came out only AFTER the law narrowly passed. Also Obama WAS crowing about the early GM "paybacks" just a few weeks ago. Both parties lie and Nora's examples are glaring ones that Dems have done lately.
Give them facts and they still deny the truth, so sad.
You do know that you are a racist for posting this. According to some on Gather, that is the only reason we are finding fault with this administration! LOL
It has nothing to do with his corruption or his inexperience, it's because he's black.
You know, I keep being accused of being a Republican, a Tea Partier, an extreme conservative, but at no time have I ever claimed to be any of them, nor have I ever claimed to support everything about any of them. I fight for what I believe is right and I oppose what I feel to be wrong. This country did not get to be the greatest nation in the world by blindly following what one person or group claims is the only way. For the first time in a lot of years the people are finally beginning to wake up to the fact that our nation is and has been taking a turn in a direction she was never meant to go. All that remains now is for the people to ensure that our voices are heard, not like what just happened with the health care bill. The best way to do that is for every voter to get out and vote these lifers out of office once and for all. Break down the "good ole' boys club" and let them know that not listening to and hearing their constituents will no longer be tolerated.
Thanks for such a great comment.
