Nude man disrupts traffic on 405 Freeway in...

A nude man disrupts traffic on the 405 Freeway in California. The man stood naked in the middle of the freeway on the center divider.

The California Highway Patrol started getting calls about the nude man around 4:30 pm. A picture was posted on Twitter, and the man literally had on no clothes. It was lovely. Why would he do this? There is no information on why the man would stand nude in the middle of the freeway.

The man was arrested by the Long Beach police. He is 21 year old Patrick O'Conner, of Auburn, California. After a mental health evaluation, he was charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure.

I sure am glad I wasnâ€™t there to witness this mess on the 405 this afternoon. I have no desire to see a nude man on my way home from work especially on a Friday. It is time to start the weekend, and that is not my idea of a good start.

LA has this weird locution where they call freeways "the [number goes here]"

In most of the civilized world, well the civilized part of the US, people would say "highway 405" or just "405." I dunno. If the language continues to diverge from ordinary American usage, pretty soon they're going to need special ballots and voter information pamphlets there.

They did this in Western New York, too. "Take the 33 to the Scajaquada (Expressway, or 198) to the 190". I grew up with it so I don't think it's weird.

One year when we lived in South Dakota I had to go back to Iowa during rally week at Sturgis and I got next to a hot biker who was wearing chaps and only chaps. I was so disusted that I followed him all the way to Rapid City and would have continued to follow him further but he turned off and I spent an hour looking for him.
