Steven Slater is one flight attendant that is getting major attention. After getting in to a tiff with a passenger on a Jet Blue aircraft, Slater quit hit job. While that's fair enough, it's what Slater did next that has people talking.
Slater grabbed some beers, opened one of the doors of the plane and inflated the emergency chute. He slid out on to the tarmac of JFK International Airport and then? He was arrested.
Slater is out of the slammer now, but is still being faced with criminal charges some of which could land him back in the big house for up to seven years ... and there isn't any beer there (MSNBC).
Slater's exit from the aircraft was pretty brave but some are calling it over dramatic. Although he's applauded for standing up for himself, he could have done so in a more civilized manor. Flight attendant's are trained to deal with unruly passengers and patience is said to be one of the virtues that they possess. Evidently that passenger stepped on Slater's last nerve.
