This is no baloney! A man from Massachusetts suspected in drug trafficking through the mail was arrested when a kilo of cocaine was found stuffed inside a large portion of hollowed-out bologna. The big chunk of meat containing its illegal contents was delivered to his residence by an undercover postal inspector after the narcotics were found.
Cocaine found in Bologna: Details of the discovery?
Police investigators in Holyoke, Massachusetts received a series of tips and information from US postal workers in Puerto Rico experienced in drug trafficking investigations.

Police inspectors began the investigation on their side by using specially-trained dogs in narcotics detection. The dogs made a “hit†on a narcotic. Police confirmed their suspicions and the tips by cutting open the bologna. Inside, a kilogram (2.2lbs) of cocaine was discovered.
Police then carefully repackaged the bologna with the kilo of cocaine, and using a US postal inspector, the delivery was made to the man’s home at or about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Reports state that an un-named woman who was sitting on the front porch of the residence, signed for the bologna containing the kilo of cocaine.
This gave police enough probable cause to execute a search warrant that led to the arrest of Juan G. Rodriquez, 30. Based on the tips, observations, and compelling evidence, he was charged with cocaine trafficking.
A judge ordered him held on a $1 million bail.
According to Holyoke police, the kilo of cocaine found inside the bologna has a street value of $100,000.
The investigation is open, as police believe more bologna-stuffing cocaine traffickers are involved.
