An 18-week-old puppy, Pinky, is now being called a hero after saving her unknowingly allergic 9-year-old owner from a swarm of bees. The boy, Richie Bragg, was playing outside when a swarm of bees surrounded him. Bragg received a few stings on his foot, and then Pinky quickly ran into the middle of the swarm to distract the bees. The bees covered Pinky, and chased after her until both the boy and his pup ran into safety.                                               Â
According to Yahoo, the heroic pup received more than 40 bee stings, and was so swollen that she put on a few pounds. Her eyes couldn’t be seen, and her ears stuck straight out.Â
Sources say that Bragg has a condition that keeps his blood from quickly clotting, and that Pinky must have sniffed out the problem before the swarm hit.Â
What an amazing story. Dogs are such incredible creatures, and they have proven themselves to be heroic in so many ways. Thank goodness for this loving animal to put her own life at risk to save a child. There is no doubt that the pup will be getting a steak or two for dinner.Â
