Man-sized eater Joey "Jaws" Chestnut is the burrito-eating champion after winning the title at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque on Saturday when he ate 47 burritos in 10 minutes. The previous record was for eating 33 1/2 burritos. Chestnut is known for his hot dog eating championship at Coney Island on the Fourth of July.
"Chestnut, of S
an Jose, Calif., won $1,500 for the feat in New Mexico Saturday. The burritos in the Garcia's World Burrito Eating Championship were stuffed with beef, beans and the state's famous green chile," according to Yahoo News.
What is so incredible here is that people do this for a living. Is this healthy for the body to have to digest that many burritos in a short period of time? Does this man go around the country and actually make a living by eating enormous amounts of food quickly?
Does Joey "Jaws" Chestnut not have a family to tell him to cut it out, and get a real job? This is not amusing; it's sad and should be illegal.

Now I wonder if Joey "Jaws" Chestnut will make another record on Sunday, for the most toilet paper used in one day?
Well at least it was green chilies so it won't burn as bad as red ones.
Oh, the stomach ache just isn't worth being the winner...
My husband watches a show called man vs. food and there is a man on there that is constant eating like that. I guess that is a real sport/hobby called professional eating. I dont think that I would ever get into it myself. Great article....
