Burrito Eating Champ Crowned at New Mexico State Fair - How Many did He Eat?

A new burrito eating champ has been named. Joey “Jaws” Chestnut is the reigning burrito eating champion. Just how many burritos did he eat in the Garcia’s World Burrito Eating Championship?

Chestnut was able to down 47 burritos in a short 10 minutes on Saturday at the New Mexico State Fair. He blew away the previous record, which was 33 ½ in that time period. Wow! It seems like it will be a long time before somebody is able to break that record.

Chestnut is fresh off a win at the Fourth of July hot dog eating contest at Coney Island in New York. He has won that contest four years in a row.

At the Major League Eating & International Federation of Competitive Eating sanctioned event, Chestnut won the prize of $1,500 for eating the 47 burritos. The burritos were filled with beef beans and green chile. Will anybody be able to beat the new burrito eating champ?

I know! Competitive eating grosses me out actually. Yuck. I could only see eating 1.

Kartman won the 2009 Indoor Chocolate Eclair Eating championships, but was later disqualified because of a genetic glandular problem. Now he's no longer able to eat professionally.

Yes, he's the same one. He won the July 4th hotdog contest 4 years in a row. He is certainly the man to beat when it comes to eating.
