Brazilian Blowout has a Cancer-Causing Chemical...

For many women, Brazilian Blowout is a miracle cure for awful hair. For some women, Brazilian Blowout has become their worst nightmare! The popular hair straightening product is under fire for possibly carrying a deadly cancer-causing chemical, Formaldehyde.

According to ABC, many women have complained that Brazilian Blowout has caused them nose bleeds, burning eyes and even difficulty in breathing! One can assume the women who experienced all these negative side effects stopped using Brazilian Blowout as soon as it happened.

Even though the maker of the Brazilian Blowout claims the hair straightening product is made with amino acids and does not contain formaldehyde, government scientists say differently. Small amounts of formaldehyde were found in samples the scientists tested. Unfortunately, nothing can be confirmed until more testing has been done.

Interestingly, despite these discerning reports, the Brazilian Blowout is still being sold in the marketplace! A Brazilian Blowout can cost between $200 to $500. For the time being, stylist are advising people to wear goggles and masks while using the hair straightening product. If you have to wear a goggle and a mask while using Brazilian Blowout, wouldn't that bother you a bit?

Formaldehyde has been questionable for years. I would never in a million years use a questionable product.

This sounds like a horrible product. I would not want a bloody nose or cancer from any product I buy. Companies need to really research their product instead of putting out there cold turkey not knowing if has bad side effects they possibly get sued for. The review the risks for the consumers safety!

let me weigh in...having my hair really straight or having a whole heaping pile of health problems.I think that's a no-brainer.

I am a stylist and I have done brazilian blowouts. NEVER have I heard of anyone getting a nosebleed from this. I can say however that it does cause some irritation to the eyes. We called the company to find out what is in this product. They said they can not release the ingredients list to us because their patent was still pending. They did assure us there is NO formaldehyde, and that the irritation was coming from the acai berry which is an ingredient in it and is acidic. I cant wait to hear what exactly is in this, and i will be pretty upset if there is formaldehyde in it because it really does wonders for hair. Also everyone should know there are different brands of "brazilian blowouts" just like there are different brands of hair color. Wish I knew which one they were testing...
