A couple ages 57 and 49 were jailed for having had sex with 9 year old son after pleading guilty. The husband also was found guilty of several other charges including child porn for streaming videos of the acts over the internet. All of the events occurred in their Sydney, Australia home. The man received a 9 year sentence and the woman a 3 year sentence.Â
Judge Anthony Garling, made the statement: “This man was sexually abusing his son and I have no doubt he was doing it for his own sexual gratification." The wife particularly disturbed the judge by what he called her most “unbelievable attitudeâ€. She claimed it was her husband’s fault but did not feel it was wrong to have sex with her 9 year old child. The judge also found the boy had suffered “significant emotional harm†and the child is now in the care of appropriate authorities.Â
According to The Australian, the official charges the father pleaded guilty to were two counts of sexual intercourse, two counts of committing an indecent act, using his son for child pornographic purposes, indecent assault, possessing child pornography and using the internet to offend.Â
The mother pleaded guilty to sexual intercourse with her son and two counts of committing an act of indecency. According to the article, it would be against Australian law to release the name of the parents. The couple had sex with their 9 year old son and believed since the child did not protest the acts he was consenting and enjoying them.

This is also the case for any woman who either claims that she is raped or has been raped, no media can ever reveal the name of the woman ever.
The barristers and our high court judges have a dress code the judge will wear a red gown and wear a white wig, and both sets of barristers the ones that represent you and the ones that are prosecuting you will wear a black robe and wear a white wig.
In the cases where children have to appear in front of a judge he will take of his wig and sometimes his gown so as to appear a more normal person and so will our barristers.
Our law system is quite differant from yours in America. We dont have the death penalty, we never plea bargain although consideration sometimes is taken by the judge if the person charged is helpful in the police enquires but nothing is promised, if you are found guilty and are sentenced then you can appeal however if the appeal is dismissed you can sometimes find that the sentence is quashed and a far longer period is given to you if the Appeal judges think that you have taken the piss. Life for murder or for rape does not mean you spend the rest of your life in jail, usualy unless you have committed a number of murders they will let you out after 15 to 20 years. In cases that have involved child murders it is unlikely that they will see freedom again but it all depends on the nature of the murder, you can murder someone but not mean it as in cases as child cruelty, and then you can murder a child to cover up a sex crime on them and it will be those that do this that will spend the rest of there days in prison. Google Soham murders to get the picture of what I am talking about. We dont have a perfect system who does but when it comes to crimes on children we seem to have got it right.
