Did WTC Collapse or Explode? Jesse Ventura Heated Conspiracy Theories Debate

Consider: In the 90's a group comes along calling themselves The Project for the New American Century. They produce a plan to dominate the world by seizing resources and denying those resources to other countries that might challenge our lone superpower status. They also wanted to take out Iraq (this was in the 90's). They state this in public documents along with a lament that their plan probably would never be enacted without “a new Pearl Harbor.” Bush takes power and appoints most of these guys to high positions in his administration. PNAC people in that administration included: Vice President Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz who also headed the White House Iraq Group, Cheney’s Chief of Staff I. Lewis “Scooter” Libbey, National Security Council member Elliot Abrahams, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, UN Ambassador John Bolton, Zalmay Kalilzhad who became Ambassador to Iraq, and Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick. Richard Perle, Kenneth Adelman and several others.

A year after Bush is in office a “new Pearl Harbor” happens in the form of 9/11. Bush links Saddam to 9/11 to the degree that two thirds of the American public mistakenly believes Saddam had something to do with that event.

...and we invade Iraq.

Not saying this is how it happened, but... sort of a coincidence, don’t you think?

And -- after 9/11 Bush appoints a 9/11 Commission and as executive director (who chose all witnesses and edited the final report) Philip Zelikow: a Bush-appointee who served on the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. He spent three years on the President George H. W. Bush's National Security Council. Zelikow worked closely with Bush NSC advisor Condoleezza Rice and co-wrote a book with her.

In NYC on 9/11. Three buildings collapsed. the WTC 1 and 2 and WTC 7. Many thought WTC 1 and 2 collapsed due to jet fuel which melted the steel framed building. Up until this time, no steel framed skyscraper in history had ever collapsed due to fire. WTC 7 collapsed that day, and had no jet fuel to melt the steel. The 9/11 Commission, in it's report, didn't even mention the collapse of WTC 7.

it's amazing that a know-nothing like Ventura was actually elected Governor of a state. We were all watching on TV when the WTC towers collapsed.

As Robert has explained, the only American conspiracy regarding 911 was the misuse of public outrage by the Bush crew- it was skillfully re-chanelled into support for the Iraq invasion despite the fact that Saddam Hussein had NOTHING to do with 911.

Yes Chris, but I'm not limiting the possibility that there was a conspiracy within our government, or private industry, or some other government. It's hard to know what's what because lots of entities benefited from the event.

The Bush administration is just so very suspicious because they benefited so greatly from the exploitation of 9/11, and they tried to stifle investigation which led to the phony 9/11 Commission and their sham report. That doesn't mean it was the whole administration, but rather individuals within that may have conspired with "terrorists" for their mutual benefit, or they may have had knowledge of the upcoming event and let it happen in order to benefit, or maybe it was some entity in the military industrial complex; knowing they would benefit with income of billions of dollars as a result.

...or maybe it really was just terrorists who were angry about our meddling in their affairs, which we have done.

of course the 911 attack itself was a conspiracy, but a brilliantly conceived one by a small group of mostly Saudi arab people organized by Bin Laden who used our own technology (commercial jets) as a weapon against us.

I worked at the World Trade Center for many years. Tower 7 wasn't touched by an airplane and wasn't close to the two big towers. Yet, it collapsed like a pancake. Obviously, something else took it down. Just watch a video and see for yourself. Therefore, 'conspiracy theory' makes a lot of sense under these circumstances.

but that is what is called "the argument from ignorance"- We Don't Know How It Happened So It Was a Conspiracy. That's not logic.

Maybe the impact of the larger towers collapsing travelled through the ground and caused the smaller building to collapse. There are other possible explanations besides a conspiracy theory.

I worked at Tower # 3 which was next door and it remained intact. Tower 7 was 400 feet away.

That's quite all right. Just try a common sense approach to explain why a building next door struck by thousands of tons of debris remains intact and another 400 feet away while untouched collapses.

luckky and Chris. This Building 7 thing points out the sham of it all. Before 9/11 no steel framed skyscraper had ever collapsed due to fire; anywhere, anytime. Building 7 was not affected by jet fuel. Some debris did impact one small edge of the building which might weaken the structure which would then topple to the weak side. If you look at how it collapsed, it came straight down onto its own footprint in rapid freefall.

So here we have this massive 9/11 report, that's supposed to be comprehensive, about the events and supposed causes of that day and this huge report (edited by P. Zelikow from the Bush administration) doesn't even mention the collapse of Building 7.

Concerning Building 7 and the other WTC buildings that collapsed, Professor Stephen Jones of BYU did some interesting calculations about the physics that ruled out the possibility of the pancaking floors collapse theory. Not saying he's correct, or that there was a conspiracy, but the avoidance of this sort of information by the 9/11 Commission or any other criminal investigation body just creates a "powerful smell of mendacity."

I have seen a few of Jesse's shows and it has opened me up to QUESTION a lot of what we have been told. He has a lot of work ahead of him .. as most people do not want to hear the facts around something they have already accepted to be true. I found this out with DDT, as well. I heard of a site www.3billionandcounting.com and then went to see the film. It really opened my eyes to the propaganda I had been fed for over 40 years. It is SAFE for humans and environment, but we were not told this. As with anything our government does, we the people are suppose to keep watch and investigate the facts before we just blindly sign on. We are in serious times that require us to WAKE UP and stop denying the truth about things we were lied to about. I say...don't believe anyone .. simply do your own research and then answer for yourself. It is very empowering. Try it! Name calling is for sissy's.

DDT use in the USA was well on its way to causing the extinction of predatory birds such as eagles hawks and falcons in the lower 48 states when it was banned. After the ban, bird populations rebounded pretty quickly. It's what they call "Science".

I think this was the sort of propaganda they used to help ban DDT. Have you done any research yourself as to whether this was true? or was it just stated as being true and then swallowed whole and we believed it?

try reading "Merchants of Doubt" by Naomi Oreskes and Eric Conway. Try reading an actual book written by actual journalists. Try reading Scientific American, instead of getting your science from a right wing website.

"junk science" was a phrase devised by Siegfried Fred Singer, a cold war era former scientist who became a tool of the tobacco, chemical, and fossil fuel industries in an absurd (but in your case, succesful) to replace REAL science with political pseudo science. It is amazing how succesful this crap is, helped along by persons such as yourself.

Interesting theory.....not sure how I feel about it

I was 23 on 9/11 and I honestly believe what they told us. I don't know how or why the government would plan it and would explode the buildings. If I really thought they'd do that, then I don't want to live here. I just don't believe it.

In a democracy the people are the government. Because of that, we are entitled to know everything. Therefore, we are entitled to a complete explanation for the questions that have been raised by Ventura and myself.

Kate, if there was a conspiracy; it's not likely to be the government but individuals within the government or even outside the government that have interests that benefit from the result.

It's great to see Jesse chiming in. Maybe now people will start to take another look at things after the swill they've been forced fed by the mainstream media for nearly a decade about 9/11. Also, nice rhetorical spin on how to answer the questions put forth on the head of this thread. Anyone who has really dug into the 9/11 research and explored the events of that day and leading up to that day has got to come away realizing that we've all been lied to by the government and the mainstream media. The company in charge of security for the WTC had Bush first cousin Wirt Walker as CEO, Marvin Bush (George W. Bush's brother) was on the Board of Directors. Is that not weird, or is it just coincidental? And why doesn't the American public know stuff like this? Also, notwithstanding a multitude of prima facie and circumstantial evidence pointing to government lies and coverups, enabling and even complicity in the attacks, why hasn't the media reported that actual physical evidence of ultra high tech explosives - nano-thermite - was found in the dust from the towers and why has the media avoided reporting about petition drives signed by over 1200 architects and engineers demanding a new investigation of the collapses of the towers and in particular WTC Building 7?
I freely admit that I was always a skeptic about the government's story and the mainstream media reporting on 9/11 from the very first day. Why? Because for weeks before the attacks the NSA was publicly reporting that they could not keep up with global information traffic. As soon as I heard that I realized that there was going to be a colossal terrorist attack to rally the public around the then unpopular Bush administration. I saw this as a high profile plausible deniability campaign. Why would the most top secret, black budgetted spy organization go public with this kind of press release? It was reported on Bloomberg Radio, CBS Radio and finally, a week before the attacks the NSA invited ABC Broadcast TV into its secret sanctum - for the first time in history - to drive home this same plausible deniability line.
Here's another thing - how is it possible that the SEC can catch some small fry schmuck who commits an inside trade but could not identify the parties behind $ millions of short trades on the airlines securities and bank stocks that were hit on 9/11? There were clearly parties who profited tremendously from those attacks - who were they? who are they? It's impossible for the SEC not to know. When are Americans going to wake up? I suppose when popular heroes like Jesse Ventura start doing what he's doing. Bravo Jesse! It was also interesting to see the Fox guy barely acknowledge - in a mumble - that Jesse was also a Navy Seal. Yeah, that's right. He was in America's elite forces. I think he knows what he's talking about. What I also like about Jesse is that he's always been non-partisan. He's dished out to the Left and the Right.

That was my point Chris .. it was "junk science" we are now finding out .. that banned DDT in the first place. It is the science that shows DDT to be safe. I know it is hard to accept, just as with the world trade buildings. I too, did not want to have to face "my" belief and question the information I had been given when I supported the ban so long ago. But I did .. and I am glad I did, because now, maybe we can bring DDT back and start saving lives. I simply ask that you check out www.3billionandcounting.com and see for yourself. And with the 9/11 scenario .. I began hearing different things within weeks of happening. It was too much to digest .. as I have friends and family in NY and that was enough to go through. I respect Jesse Ventura for speaking up and sharing what he has uncovered. It is now up to all of us, to investigate further for ourselves!
