President Obama and Mrs. Obama took a break from campaigning this weekend to enjoy the area children who were ages 6 -14. The children received candy and took lots of pictures dressed in costumes. Mr. and Mrs. Obama were not in costume, but the children were as all enjoyed the holiday festivities on the White House Lawn.
Mr. and Mrs. Obama enjoyed the beautiful day, and the White House porch was decorated with pumpkins and spiders. The children came from schools in nearby communities. Children love the tradition of going to the White House for the event. The President and First Lady seemed to have as much fun as the children did.
The Presid
ent is facing what some are calling a referendum on his administration on Tuesday, and it's not looking good for the Democrats. "At stake are all 435 House seats and 37 of the 100 Senate seats, along with almost 40 gubernatorial races," according to CNN.
The Obamas needed to enjoy the Sunday festivities with happy young Americans before the vote on Tuesday.
