Five lions kill a man who was taking a shower in a campsite in Zimbabwe. The tourist from Zimbabwe was fatally mauled by the pride of lions while he was taking a shower under a tree at Chitake Springs bush camp, which is near a nature reserve.
Events Leading to Lions Attacking and Killing man in Shower
Peter Evershed, 59, was near Mana Pools when the lions attacked him. Others in his group had taken a shower earlier in the evening, and he waited until last. When the others heard him scream, they raced to help, but it was too late. The lions had gashed him in the throat killing him. What a terrifying end to what was likely a wonderful vacation day.
The lions did not want to leave their kill either. The finally retreated after a vehicle’s lights were shone on them and shots were fired in the air. It seems odd that they didn’t try to kill the lions to ensure that they didn’t kill other humans. People in Zimbabwe have been told to be extremely cautions because†Animals have become extremely unpredictable," said Johnny Rodrigue, head of Zimbabwe Conservation task force.
There has been a rash of animal attacks and injuries in the region recently. It seems like human beings must be extremely careful when they are camping outside. It is horrible that the lions killed this man who was simply taking shower. Hopefully people will hear about this and be extra careful from now on. Apparently the aggression from the animals is being blamed on a bad economy which leads to illegal poaching.

I cant' believe this is all Linda took from your article. A Gather member for one day and she's criticizing Kate James, a valuable contributing member.
Since she doesn't have the courage to apologize to you Kate, I'll do it for her.
"I'm sorry she made that comment."
So yes poaching bad - leave them and their habit alone and you'd see a lot less of this!
