Residents of a small town in Missouri actually blocked protesters from picketing a soldier’s funeral. It is amazing that the citizens of Weston, Mo. were able to thwart the hateful group from the Westboro Baptist Church. Good for them for protecting their town and one of their own!

Weston residents were also joined by people from California and Australia to block the nasty protesters. The funeral was for Sgt. First Class C.J. Sadell. Unfortunately the Sgt was injured in a surprise attack in Afghanistan, and he died from his wounds. He left behind a wife and two sons. Five other soldiers died in the October 5 attack. Sadell passed due to the injuries on October 24.
Fred Phelps get this message and get it good – you are not welcome! You and your hate filled nastiness serves absolutely no purpose. Stay away from our soldiers and their grieving families. You and your so-called “church†are the sorriest excuse for a “church†that has been seen in a long time. Take a look at the Bible, and begin treating people as Jesus treated them. He loved everyone.
After a disgusting and shameful 44,000 pickets, you were finally stopped! Amen! Hopefully people in other locations will also band together to keep you out.

Fred Phelps and group are nothing more than hatemongers who continue to spread their venom and they'll use any soapbox they can crawl on to do so.
Phelps and crew are one of the many reasons why organized religion is nothing more than a tool to be used for hate and/or monetary gain. This church needs to be dismantled and the people cast to the four winds.
I dont know about you Fred, but MY God is a loving and forgiving God.
