Prince Charles Stirs Speculation: If Kate Middleton Can Be Queen, Why Not Camilla?

I think #Camilla will be #Queen of England, and the people will eventually forgive her.

Camilla has been divorced, Kate has not.
Camilla had an affair, Kate did not.
Princess Diana has pretty good shoes to fill. Camilla has a reputation as a home wrecker, Kate does not.

I think Queen Elizabeth has no intention of passing the crown to her son. I don't think scheming Camilla will ever be Queen. Though it would sell a lot of papers, if she did, I think Queen Elizabeth will skip over Charles. A dashing young King would certainly make a lot of excitement when she is ready to step down. But I have a feeling it won't be for awhile. She might wait for the wedding and a son to be born.

I was never a fan of Charles.

Why a son? Why not another daughter some day?

As for Camilla, if she becomes Queen, she'll be The Queen Of Tarts! LOL

Leah, as far as I know, it's the son that gets be King. If there is only a daughter, then she gets it but they aim for boys.

The Queen can't decide who will be her successor. The crown cannot be passed to William UNLESS his father renounces his claim to the throne.

Personally, I don't think that will ever happen.

I don't think the British people would be at all happy for Camilla to be crowned queen. And, it cannot happen without the agreement of parliament.

Kate has no idea what she's in for.. She thinks the paparazzi is bad now, wait till after she's married, they will do the same thing to her that they did to Diane.. They will hound her every step, she will not be able to breath without pictures being snapped in her face!

Those dogs with cameras will try to follow her to the loo and everywhere inbetween.. She, like Diane, will not have a moment's privacy or peace and it will, in the end, drag her down the same as it did the late princess.. I feel terribly sorry for her and William but, at least, he's used to the never-ending procession of watchers, after all, they've been on his tail since the day he was born.. She, however, hasn't a clue as to how bad it's going to be now that she is going to become 'Princess Kate'.. There really should be a law or two in place to protect people from those insatiable jerks!

As for Camilla, Charles is correct, if Kate is allowed to become Queen, then Charles has every right to speak up for his wife his wife to join him as Queen, no matter what happened in the past.. She didn't commit a crime, all she did was stick by him when he made a big mistake, that of marrying Diane when he really didn't want too.. He should have said no to his mother when she insisted he marry 'royalty'! If anyone was at fault for that whole disastrous affair it was he and the Queen.. He for being a wuss and giving in to her wishes and she for insisting he couldn't marry the woman he really loved all along, Camilla.. More power to him, I hope she does become Queen..

As far as I know the Queen has already decided to go past Charles. If she does skip Charles, I don't think it has as much to do with Camilla, as people would think.
Take a good look at Charles, I'm sure she has. I can't think of a better word for it, but I heard he's a real ninny.

Heather, I don't believe the Queen has any say in the matter.. The line of succession is pretty straight forward.. If the Queen steps down or passes away, Charles is next in line for the throne.. At least that is what I was given to understand.. I could be wrong but I don't think the Queen can just up and designate William King over her son..

Because Prince Charles was heir to the throne, before he married Princess Diana, they scoured her history for royal blood. Have they done the same to Camilla? Because he was first in line for the crown they insisted she have royal ties somewhere, somehow.

Living in Canada, I have yet to find anyone who actually likes the current Queen. The same comes from my cousin who lives in Australia. Monarchies are very much out dated.

I dunno'.... my gut tells me that wouldn't be a very popular move with the citizens.

Camilla is disgusting... seriously it MUST be true love because w/ a face like that... YIKES! The difference is Camilla is a hideous homewrecker and kate has been w/ william for a decade.
