The 84th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade occurs on Thanksgiving, of course. It is an American traditional that most people love to watch every morning before we gorge ourselves with Turkey. Now, we have DVR and can sleep in late on Thanksgiving and still watch the Macy’s Parade!
The parade begins at 9 a.m. EST. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade 2010 will kick off with lots of celebrity superstars. Some of you who live in New York will be able to see the celebrities for free and in living color. However, those of use who live far away can watch and relish in your excitement.
Here is a list of all the celebrities that will be performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: Macy Gray, Kylie Monogue, Gloriana, India.Arie, Jessica Simpson, Gladys Knight, Jimmy Faloon and The Roots, Keri Hilson, Michael Grimm and last but not least…Big Time Rush!
Now, if you don’t think the celebrity line-up is controversial enough. The Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Day Parade will have a little Kanye West, just to make the festive parade a little more exciting.Â
The parade will also host hundreds of giant balloons, with lots of the classics returning this Thanksgiving. Some of the classics are Kermit the Frog, Buzz Light-year, Ronald McDonald, and the Snoopy Balloon.
This year the Macy’s parade will also host two new balloons: 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid.' The new floats this year are "Mount Rushmore", "Top Hat", and "Dora's Christmas Carol." Are you excited?
Of course, at the finale of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be none other then Santa Claus! Small children are all always so excited to see Mr. Claus at the end of the parade. And parents (of small children) all over America pretend to be excited, as well!
