A Virginia grandmother threw her toddler granddaughter over a railing several stories up while leaving a Virginia mall. The toddler died later at an area hospital, and the grandmother is being held without bound.
Carmela Dela Rosa, 50, of Fairfax was arrested and charged with murder. Dela Rosa was walking with other relatives, but without warning simply tossed the child over the edge, and no one knows why she did it.
"The 2½-year-old child, Angelyn Ogdoc, died in a hospital several hours later. She fell from a walkway linking the mall's third floor to the parking garage's sixth floor at Tysons Corner Center in Fairfax, just south of Washington, D.C."
The woman must have simply snapped. What other possible explanation can there be for something like this? The poor relatives and witnesses must have been devastated, and they have to feel some guilt for not preventing this, but no one expected it. That poor child, and the poor family must have the hearts broken, as just hearing this story is so horrible.
