The Dallas White Rock Marathon kicked off this morning, December 5th at 8:00 A.M. The Dallas White Rock Marathon is a marathon that takes place every year in December in Dallas, Texas. The tradition of this annual race has been going strong since 1971. Some official times from participants have been announced.
The Dallas White Rock Marathon is the first in a series of winter marathons in Texas. Participants who attain an official time from this marathon can use the time to qualify for the well-known Boston Marathon. According to the Dallas News, James Kirwa of Kenya won the Metro PCS White Rock Marathon. Kirwa’s official time was 2:18:40!
The Dallas White Rock Marathon consists of marathon and half marathon runners, and also a five-person and corporate relay. Participant Jeff Sadler of Waco claimed victory of the men’s half marathon with a time of 1:09:34. McKale Davis of Stillwater, Oklahoma won the women’s half marathon with a time of 1:18:33. • David Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, with a time of 1:11:12.
• Micah Lorenzen, with a time of 1:13:10.

• McKale Davis of Stillwater, Oklahoma, with a time of 1:18:33.
• Katherine Marshall of Bellaire, Texas, whose time was 1:24:26.
• Crystal Harris of Glen Carbon, Illinois, with a time of 1:27:35.
