Police issued an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old Brittany Mae Smith after police found her mother dead in the family home. Smith is believed to have been kidnapped from her Salem, Virginia home.
"Brittany Mae Smith was last seen "several days ago," according to a Roanoke County statement issued Monday. Police launched a search for Jeffrey Scott Easley, 32, whom authorities describe as a friend of the dead mother."
The brother of Brittany Mae died in what police say was the game where teenagers strangle themselves until they pass out, but he died, so this family is no stranger to tragedy.
Tina Smith was 41-years old, and divorced from Brittany's father. Co-workers of Smith reported her missing when she didn't show up for school, so police went to the house and found her dead. Then they checked on little Brittany and found she had not been in school.
Police are looking for a silver 2005 Dodge Neon four-door sedan with Virginia license plates. "Easley, a 265-pound white male, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, has brown hair and hazel eyes, the Amber Alert says. Brittany Smith is 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has straight brown hair and brown eyes."

Once again we have a missing child, and an Amber Alert. Here again, we have a mother with a boyfriend, and a teenage daughter. The combination is deadly. Many times, the boyfriend wants the younger woman. In this case, it would a 12-year-old. Did he kill the mother to get her? This is a frightening thought. Please bring this girl home safely.

That is one of the stupidest things i've ever heard, so because she has a teen daughter she can't date?!? My mother dated and remarried when I was a teen, way to blow that statement. Rethink before you judge.
Blame the man not the mother.
