Some are pointing to the book of Hosea whereby man turns his back on God and the prophecy that results from that says, "Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away."
The Times website had a story today about 200 cow deaths in Wisconsin, and describes how a theologian by the name of Ed Begley feels that the events of animal deaths that began this year are clear signs that we are headed towards the second coming of Christ.
The cows demise on January 14th is just another mysterious mass animal death that has occurred during the first two weeks of 2011. The farmer who owned the herd thought that the cows had died from an infection. Do 200 cows die all at once of an infection? Something doesn’t sound quite right.
No matter what the future of mankind will be in the short term, it might not be a bad idea to make peace with our Maker. This could be God’s way of warning man that his days are limited.

Contrast this with the Wicked Witch Of The West. She just flew around on a broom and wrote "Surrender Dorothy" in the sky. Much more effective way to make a point and much more PETA-friendly, I would argue.
Therefore, God is more evil than the Wicked Witch Of The West.
