Nancy Reagan Praises Barack Obama

Pres. Barack Obama has enjoyed more enthusiastic adulation and endured more virulentÂ criticism than almost any other president in recent U.S. history. Yesterday, however, the President received an unexpected thumbs up from a most unlikely source--former First Lady Nancy Reagan.Â

Yesterday, TMZ paparazzi caught up withÂ the "Gipper's" widow emerging from a restaurant on the arm of a member of her still ever-present Secret Service. After exchanging pleasantries with the photographers, Ronald Reagan's widow was asked how she thought President Obama was doing.Â

"He's doing well," she replied.Â

Kudos to Nancy Reagan. But what would the Gipper have to say about her praising Barack Obama? Who knows? Who cares?

But lest anyone attribute the 89-year-old Mrs. Reagan's approbatory response to a possible age-related inability to understand questions, nothing could be farther from the truth.

When asked if she was planning to return to acting, her answer was a resounding "No way."

You go, Mrs Reagan!

I agree with Mark. He has NOT endured nearly as much criticism as Bush but democrats love to play the victim.

How many times do liberals have to be "amazed" or "surprised" when a known conservative "unexpectedly"says something nice about a fellow human being before they realize that their own prejudiced stereotypes, and wide eyed delusions about what conservatives are and what they think, are completely erroneous?

There is a difference between saying he is doing well and praising someone. Oh and by the way when have you ever know Mrs. Regan to say an ill word against anyone?

Old Ronnie was hardly the greatest president ever. He was an even worse governor of the great state of California. And he wasn't that great an actor either. A B- lister at best. Ever watch his old movies on the AMC channel? Ugh. But I digress. The greatest president ever? That would mean he was superior to Kennedy, Roosevelt, Lincoln. As if! Seriously, by his own admission the Bedtime For Bonzo "star" was a C student at best in high school and college. He was amusing though. The old guy actually thought catsup was a vegetable. LOL! Even Jon Stewart's writers couldn't come up with anything that good.

Reagan was the GREATEST president we ever had. Lincoln is just known because he was president during the war of the states, and Kennedy is known for getting his head blown off (Kennedy came from a mob family and nearly started a nuclear war with his stupidity. A great president is people like Reagan and Nixon, president that the world feared and that protects this country.

I see Nancy Reagan is getting Alzheimer disease like her husband suffered. Obama is like all Americans now, lazy and arrogant. He got the job, is collecting a pay check, yet sits on his butt and does nothing for it. Instead of getting involved on a civil war on Lybia he needs to worry about our economy and the nuclear problem in Japan.
