A 400-pound shark jumped onto a boat during a feeding frenzy. The creature jumped into a boat off the Texas shore on Sunday. This is a case of "Jaws" gone wild. This type of shark is known to jump out of the water, but this does seem to be occurring more frequently with many types of aquatic creatures. Last Friday, an eagle ray jumped onto a boat in Florida.

According to CNN, there is a method for catching fish where "[fishermen] count on their catch leaping aboard," and it seems that "some fishermen have figured them out." "The book Fish Catching Methods of the World describes how fishermen in several countries rely on fish behavior instead of hooks and nets."
What a surprise it must have been to have a shark land on the boat. The boaters will have quite the fish story to tell. As you can see in the video, the fisherman caught the shark, but the animal had the idea first.
Mako's are one of the fastest fish in the ocean. Sudden bursts of speed are common for this shark, so ending up in the back of a boat doesn't surprise me.
