Walgreens is offering free health care to people who have lost their jobs after March 31, 2009, and no longer have health insurance.
The program is part of Walgreens Take Care Recovery Plan. http://takecarehealth.com/ Walgreens has opened more than 300 Take Care Clinics across the country where the jobless and uninsured and their dependents can get free basic health care. In order to qualify, you will have to fill out an application and provide proof of your unemployment. Click here for more information about how to apply.  The program is scheduled to end Dec. 31, 2009. http://takecarehealth.com/what-we-treat.aspx

If you do not have insurance and do not qualify for the Take Care Recovery Plan, you can pay cash for the services, which range from $59 to $80. You an see a full list of what they treat here. http://takecarehealth.com/what-we-treat.aspx
Unfortunately, there aren’t any clinics in Minnesota yet, but I’ll be sure to let you know when they open one. Until then, you can check out all the other locations here.
