New Casey Anthony Photo Emerges Showing Carefree Attitude While Caylee Remained Missing

She's a piece of work alright. It's obvious she wasn't distraught. Just sickening.

Nothing surprises me. The noose is slowly tightening around her neck.

When does the trial start?

The trial is going to start May 9th I think Nancy Grace said and it is going to be on True TV and even though Casey didn't want the cameras in the court the Judge ruled they could be and her folks can't be in the courtroom until after they testify. I know I won't miss it and hope the little bit-h frys.

Such a sad story

Some people do not realize the the ramifications of being bipolar and one of them are, looking or seemingly acting distant or uncaring. I see a beautiful woman with her child in
many of the pictures. Caylee always looks neatly dressed and cared for. Something went
wrong, yes and Casey can't handle it. The partying and happy go lucky girl that she always
portrays is all she knew and so she keeps this persona as a way to cope.
The horror of what happened is forever locked in her mind and I see a woman running
scared, but did she do it is the question. Until that is proven, I say...innocent till proven
guilty.

Carolyn, this is the first I've heard she's bipolar....

She has created a circus for the police and investigators and meanwhile, the taxpayers are having to pay her multimillion dollar defense, because she ran out of money from selling photos of her "missing" daughter. Most people only get a public defender on the taxpayers dime...and I am sure they would love to have the "advantages" she now has on our dime.

Instead of being honest about it, she has repeatedly lied. It's my understanding that she insisted on being tested for mental illness and there was none found.

Yes, she is innocent by law until proven guilty, but I went through having my 3 and 4 year old being kidnapped in 1978 and I assure you, I was not out partying and having a good time... and I called the police right after it happened.

She appears to be a narcissistic individual who used chloroform instead of a babysitter and was intensely jealous of her parents love for her daughter. The poor little girl did not have a chance, and it is sickens me to see her without any remorse. She could have chosen to make a deal but she didn't.

I'd like to see the evidence of her being bipolar.

And being bipolar is no excuse for murder.

I haven't found any evidence of her being bipolar either. But her trial so far hasn't cost a million dollars yet. It's cost 300,000 dollars so far. Still a lot in taxpayer funds.

and no, being bipolar is no excuse for being a child murderer. If that is her defense, then wow. But I doubt it. Looks like she wants to pin it on her family somehow

My son is bi polar and I know what there mood swings are like meds or no meds They do not have a level plain to play on They get easily upset and they react without thinking about the outcome When someone has this there is no stopping what they are capable of

If someone is so "bipolar" that they are an unpredictable threat on society or those in immediate household -- they should be locked up in a sanitarium. Period.

Chelsea, we have to pay for her lawyers and all her "expert witnesses", the rest of her defense bill... as well as the normal trial costs, added together will turn out to be big big bucks

The team representing 23-year-old Casey Anthony says the financial assistance is the only way to ensure they'll have the resources to fight a conviction and possible death sentence in the first-degree murder case.

The defense wants the state to pay the cost of travel, serving supoenas, hiring experts, deposing witnesses and investigating the case.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty and says a baby sitter kidnapped her daughter Caylee. The toddler's remains were found in December 2008, months after she was reported missing.

interesting, but I was going by currently. We really aren't sure of how much it's going to be. I really wish she'd just confess or tell the truth about what she really knows! It's so frustrating.

We as a society are to quick to draw the gun. It all sounds like a horror story and the news media is good for that. They throw people away in institutions with out any concern. Our tax dollars pay for inmates who shouldn't even be in jail for minor violations, in which simple therapy would help and make them responsible citizens.

As for Casey...only her and God know the real truth. You say she's a monster, well there
have been many monsters who got away with worst. I say, get to the bottom of it for once and for all. They can't seem to figure out what's what and in the mean time, we pick up the tab! Go figure, the longer they can drag out a case, the more money they make.

Carolyn, the depositions and evidence was leaked to the public. It wasn't the media that did this. People are discussing facts of the evidence produced by depositions released as evidence. Actual depositions. This girl lied continuously. Her own lawyers admit that she lied.

The problem is all the evidence, Carolyn. Plus that all she has done is lie. She lied about the baby sitter and her "job" at universal.

Personally, my opinion is she was probably doing too many drugs...and many many people are doing horrible things and I believe they influenced when they do these things...

I believe these three people were on drugs too.. because it wasn't one person, nor two, but three...who tortured this poor baby and killed her...

Thanks J Mickey. Thank you for your comment. It took two years but they were back in my arms again. Very long story but it did affect my family and me. I'll never forget that day for the rest of my life.

Just to air out the laundry...let me just explain a few things. First off, she certainly has bipolar tendencies and they did mention it on the news. A bipolar individual lives alot in denial and sometimes, they believe nothing is really wrong, when in fact it is.


Secondly, when confronted with such horrors, the mind shuts down and believes otherwise, that all is well, thus the partying, shopping, laughing and make believe happiness that all is well.

Add to that the fear of being convicted of being negligent or murder, if this is the case, would definitely explain her actions of guilt.

It's unconfirmed. She's been given psych evaluations which have come out inconclusive on any mental illness. Bipolar disorder or otherwise. If she was a textbook case of bipolar disorder, her defense-paid psych evaluators would have found it right?

Bi polars are notorious liars...again, its a denial thing. Te woman is obviously not mentally stable and this goes deeper than circumstantial evidence.

And if she has a diagnosis then I guess she should stop the circus and plead not guilty by reason of insanity or mental defect. And until she does... she will be seen as a pathogical liar and a cruel mother, I guess.

I know a lot of people with bi-polar and they get treatment and do the best they can. It's not a easy thing to have, but at the same time, I think they would have realized it in all the evaluations she had. I think she thought she could get away with anything.... who signs checks on a friends account that they aren't even on...and they have the store tapes of her doing it. And what kind of friend is that? She also stole her grandparents money... too.. I really really believe she thought she could get away with anything... and all the prison videos of her and her parents where whining about herself, not an iota of concern as to where her daughter was and concern for her. I don't think "bi-polar" has anything to do with that. Sure she might not want to face what she did, and if circumstances were different, I would think she would be weeping over her daughter and where is she... not boo hoo, someone needs to get me out of here.... her behavior to me says she knew her daughter was dead at that time before her body was found.

I'm so sick of seeing her. Her defense team needs to tell her to button up her blouse and quit pulling it down every time Jose comes near her at the defense table. Actions like that and all the party pictures will get her fried for sure. She thought when this all started she only had to say the nanny took Caylee and it would just be another missing child, no questions asked. George and Cindy are just as sickening, all that family knows how to do is play the martyr. When Cindy says that Jesse Grund makes statements that are not true about Casey, most of what he told the media is from things their own son, Lee told friends, Jesse's personal observations & from her friends. Casey's family and friends have known for years what a liar & thief she is. That family has to remember the victim in this is Caylee, not her slime-ball mother.

Very true Ramona, her family and friends knew what a liar and thief she was and the fact Cindy did not call the police before 4 weeks passed really concerns me, I can't think why on earth she didn't call before that... I mean the girl was a liar and she should have insisted on seeing Caylee sooner... or I'll call it in. The amazing thing was the Grandfather was a retired detective and if Caylee was indeed just "missing" why wouldn't she have gone to her own father right away to help her find her. I think we all know the answer to that.

I think that may be why he went suicidal.. as he was in denial too and it had to be hard to accept not only his Caylee was murdered, that it was Casey.... that did it. It was right there in front of him and he too did not act.... and it happened right under his nose.

Caylee is the victim and that is why it makes me upset when people try to say poor poor Casey....

The thing is if one is insane and commits a murder, they don't tend to hide it. For sure this baby's body was hidden and with stuff from the Anthony home.

She should have pleaded out so she doesn't get the death penalty. And if it was an "accident" she should have come clean from the get go.... and she would have not had this mess. I really don't think it was an accident... I think she thought she could get "away" with it. She made statements about going to the beach, when it was all over. I don't think so...

Heather, you bring up a good point about George & Cindy not reporting her missing right away, especially since they all lived in the same house. Being a grandma myself, I know how special these kids can be and before my 2 grandsons came to live with me, I would make sure I talked to them everyday or overy other day. I have a daughter and grand-daughter who will not seek treatment for their bi-polar and except for killing her kids, my daughter has all the same traits as Casey. To them, kids are bragging rights, playing mommy when it suits them, they steal from family & friends, destroy things that don't belong to them, constantly play the martyr and feel that the rules don't apply to them. My 13yr old grand-daughter moved back with mom after 3 years with me because she did not feel I had any right to know who she was with or where she was going. The trouble with my daughter, her mother, started at the same age, she now has 4 ex-husbands and 5 children from 4 different men that she has not raised. I do feel bad that George & Cindy will have to live with the fact that they didn't take any action earlier. It also bothers me that it keeps coming up about Lee & George molesting Casey. No one seems to know or care who Caylee's father is. I think that if they could ever pin this murder on George, Cindy would let him rot and make sure the world knows what a terrible life the whole Anthony family had living with him. If the defense would even bring this up to Casey, don't you think she would defend her dad? Casey, George & Cindy have made this a media circus, maybe they think if they stay in front of the cameras like O.J. did, Casey will be acquitted.

Point in fact...after reading the last comment, my opinion is this. I feel this is a very dysfunctional family and that perhaps, Casey was molested by step daddy at one time and mommy dearest had or knows something about what happened to her granddaughter! My suspicions on this go even further, but I won't say anything. In the mean time, the little girl is gone and that is a shame and Casey has to live with what ever it is.

@carolyn -- there are even allegations that Casey's own brother is the father of Caylee. There have been hints dropped in depositions and witness accounts of how "close" the two seemed.

However, your suspicion is one that is shared by a lot of people (myself included, although I am still leaning toward her being guilty)

She obviously didn't care for her baby girl. I just hope that the jury don't have sympathy for her let that murderer off the hook.

I don't think the prosecution has a case. She might walk.
