Phylicia Barnes Found Dead

My condolences to Phylicia's family. She was a beautiful young lady. I hope LE can determine what happened to her and the identify of the male found in the same river. Surely the cases are related, but was the other person someone known to Phylicia? If there is a kidnapper/murderer on the loose, he needs to be found soon!

There have been so many kidnappings and murders in recent times of young women and children. It seems like this sort of crime has really escalated in the past few years. Its so sad that yet another young girl no longer has a future. I hope they will also find Hailey Dunn soon, but, hopefully, alive, and Holly Bobo too.

This is just weird. If their bodies were only found floating recently, where were they these last several months? Did she run away with the young man that was found with her? Was he her kidnapper? How did they both end up dead in the river? Did she jump, desperate to get away from him, and he went in after her, neither knowing how to swim? This case is such a mystery. I hope they can get to the bottom of it.

It seems more than coincidental to me that the bodies were found soon after a massive search for Phylicia was launched. Did someone (Phylicia's abductor) feel LE was closing in? In that case, maybe the search backfired because it caused the perp to panic and kill his captive. :( Maybe the man whose body was recovered was an associate of the perp, but was considered at risk of turning in the perp. Maybe the man even tried to help Phylicia escape and they were both caught.

I'm certainly not convinced that Phylicia just took off the morning she disappeared without a car or telling anyone. She probably went out for a morning stroll and was abducted. I don't see how the deaths could be accidental since both bodies were unclothed and Phylicia, at least, had been missing since December -- which was especially cold and snowy this year. I wonder if the perp removed their clothing, and disposed of the bodies far from the abduction site, in hopes of delaying identification.

I really hope LE finds the perp soon and justice is served!

I really think there are serial killers that the police haven't connected because they kill in various states. I have often thought some of the gravitate to work in fields that require travel..... thus dumping victim's bodies all over the place. I think we only hear the tip of the iceberg in the news.

There are so many people that go missing and many assume they "ran away".... and in some cases, it gets solved when they catch someone like John Wayne Gacey...

I agree with Janet, it's escalated. We also don't hear much about the sex trade...and I think many are kidnapped for that too.

My heart goes out to her parents. Her mother had been on Nancy Grace when she first went missing....and I so hoped she would be found alive.
